GSLIS Scholarship applications due by February 15, 2012

The GSLIS faculty encourage qualified students to apply for the following scholarships, to be awarded for the fall 2012 semester:

The Betty Fast Scholarship: to recognize students in the GSLIS program who show excellence in their academic work, strong potential in library leadership, and a commitment to youth services in school or public libraries. $1,000. Application information:

The Elizabeth Futas Scholarship: recognizing a student in the GSLIS program whose academic excellence, strong potential in library leadership, and commitment to professional development, ethics, and service reflects the spirit of Dr. Futas. $2000. Application information:

The Frank Iacono Scholarship: Recognizes a student with a strong commitment to outreach. It is supported by donations to the GSLIS General Scholarship Endowment from Mr. Iacono's family, friends, and colleagues. $500. Application information:

The GSLIS Prism Scholarship: celebrating diversity by supporting a student committed to serving diverse populations in any type of library or informational service. $500. Application information:

The Stewart Schneider Scholarship: Awarded to a GSLIS student with professional aspirations in reference services. $500. Application information:

General GSLIS scholarships: a limited number of scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic excellence and need. Application form:
